Lunch:  Pasta with spring onion, red pepper, olives, soy sauce

Snack:  Muller Light Vanilla with Dark Chocolate sprinkles and a banana

Dinner: donner meat calzone....yes it was worth the calories!!!

Exercise:  Spinning

Thoughts:

Spinning class for me is a must.  My fabulous Personal Trainer says that it is imperative to do cardio for my weight loss.  She thinks that if I do one day weights and the next day cardio that will be the best way to go.  So I have made a schedule for working out.

Monday:  PT session
Tuesday:  Rest
Wednesday Cardio
Thursday:  Weights
Friday:  Cardio
Saturday:  Weights
Sunday:  Cardio

So I figured that spinning would be a fab cardio session so I opt for the Friday morning spin.

Now I will admit now, I despise cardio.  I was built for comfort not for speed!!!  So I figure doing a class like spinning would be a way to do cardio without having to think.

Now the Friday morning spin class is a strange one.  The instructor is a likeable woman with a fab tattoo.  But when the class starts I actually hate the woman.

Today I hated her more.   Why?  Because she did the one thing that I hate more than anything.  She didn't get on the bike and do the class with us.  She just stood next to the bike with her watch in her hand.

I am a believer that if you are a fitness instructor and if you are leading a class, you should be doing everything that you are making the people in the class do.  To me if an instructor doesn't do what the people in the class are doing, it insinuates that they are unable to do it.

So today when she screamed, GO FASTER!!  SPEED UP!!  I wanted to scream back, why don't you go faster and speed up!  Oh that's because you are not on the bike and you can't be arsed!!!

This fact amused me so I got the giggles.  My legs were so sore, if I didn't laugh I'd cry!!!

I also try to never make eye contact with an instructor.  If you do, they usually make some comment like "Resistance up" or "work harder" or some shit like that.  I have to fight the urge to to stick my middle finger up and mouth "eat me" back.  Mature, I know.

Thoughts:

I woke up this morning feeling like my body had been hit by a truck. Ouch! But no pain no gain!!! I will attempt to get to the gym tomorrow morning. I have a weigh in after all!

I always get nervous prior to weigh ins! I know I have lost weight. I need to believe in myself, it's slowly coming off. I don't care if it's one pound, or 4. Just as long as the weight is going in the right direction.....down!!!

Thoughts:

God, this morning I didn't want to get out of bed but I am happy I did.  Kathryn pushed me...hard.  I upped my weights on my lifting sets and I powered through the routine.  I am sprinting faster (at 11kph) so I am seeing results with my workout and eating.

Eating a jacket potato today was fabulous!!  Caaaaaaaaaaaarrrrbbbbbbbbbbbbbsssss!!!  Love it!  I m feeling more satisfied with my food but I do worry about the upcoming holidays.  I mean I will be back home but cheese, wine and chocolate....I don't want to undo all this hard work.  It's difficult.  But I am determined to not gain weight when I go home.

But I also received today my biggest motivation.  My Christmas Party dress came today!  An ice blue backless mini dress.  I am so excited to put it on so that fact has forced me to put my head down and get my body into shape.

Kathryn texted me and told med that tomorrow needs to be a cardio day so tomorrow morning I will be doing 45-60 minutes of high intensity cardio.  I am going to try and shake it up.  Do some running for 15 minutes, maybe some burpees, jumping jacks, and things like that for 5 minutes and try other bits and pieces.

Thoughts:

After my success of losing a pound at the Slimming Club weigh in, I woke up and dragged myself to the gym.  I am happy that I did because I had 2 personal bests!

The first one is my shoulder press.  When I started with Kathryn 2 weeks ago, I was doing 30 kilos on the shoulder press.  Last session (on Monday) I did 40 kilos on the shoulder press.  Today I managed one set at 50 kilos.  Whoop whoop!!!  I am pleased!!!!

Then during "The Ordeal" I had another personal best.  I upped my sprinting speed to 11kph.  This, for me, is difficult.  Sprinting has always been so hard.  I used to run when I was younger but that was just normal distance running.  I could do a 5k in 30 minutes, roughly.  I know that sprinting is a great way to shred the fat.

I want to step on the scales next week and lose 4 pounds.  That's the goal.  I don't know how feasible it is but I am determined to do so.

Weigh In Number 2

Breakfast:  2 Hard Boiled Eggs and Ham

Lunch:  Chicken and Salad

Dinner:  Chilli with Rice

Dessert:  Muller Light Cherry Flavour

Exercise:  Rested because I slept like shit.

Thoughts:

I slept like shit last night.  I couldn't rest or relax.  I was absolutely dead.  I decided to wear a light dress, no tights so I can have a good weigh in.  I am freezing but worth it?

I have wanted toast again.  Nice buttery toast.  But the thought of today's weigh in...no I can't do that!

So I stepped on the scales and well, I'm 1 pound down! That means in 2 weeks, I have lost 4 pounds. I am well pleased with that!

Now to get off my ass and up tomorrow for a good workout. So there we go!!!

Thoughts:

Each day temptation gets thrown in our faces. Mine comes everyday at lunch time when I make my boyfriend lunch.

As it has been getting colder, he has wanted toast. 4 rounds of warm buttery toast with jam. I'm not arsed about the jam but the buttery toast.....mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....

I almost cracked today. I actually went to make myself some buttery toast, and when they popped up, one of the lads at work grabbed them and said thanks!

Phew! Saved by the warehouse lads!! Buttery toast is a good treat but I know that now, with Christmas coming, it's not a good idea. After Christmas, I'll have a piece.....or two.....

Once I have got over the Christmas season I will be ok. It's a challenging time for diets. But I need to keep myself focused. Realistically, I have the boyfriend's birthday on Friday and then on the 20th the company Christmas party.  I need to keep focused and take it 1 day at a time......

A kick ass session with Kathryn

Thoughts:

I decided to schedule my PT sessions with the lovely Kathryn on a Monday morning,  Why?  I fucking hate Mondays.  I hate them with a vengeance.  Why? Work is stressful and with the stress comes the over eating, over drinking and plus the boyfriend and I always rip each other's heads off.  It's a stressful day and I just loathe it.  I decided to have my session with Kathryn because I enjoy working out with her.

Today's session was good.  In fact great.  I have lost a lot of my strength but I am slowly getting it back.  I will be able to bench press my body weight again.  It will take time.  So today has been positive.

I didn't have any run in's with the boyfriend and things flowed easily.  I just felt like I was in the zone.

Plus the weekend didn't go as planned.  On Saturday I went to the gym, did a great cardio workout.  I grabbed a sandwich from the shop, rushed home and got most of my housework done.  I went out and saw my friend.  Because I didn't eat much and I haven't been drinking much I totally got shitfaced.  I mean I was a mess.

I don't remember getting home but I woke up the next day with a banging headache.  And to make it worse, I had to go to Birmingham to get stock.

So a 2 hour car journey in a transit van with a stinking hangover.  We went to McDonalds and I ending up having a sausage Breakfast Bagel.  I ate half of it and thought I was going to be sick.  Then we had to traipsed through the aisles and I just wanted to be sick.

When we got home I felt a bit better and ended up carbing out.  Macaroni and Cheese and cheesy mash.  Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!  I felt a bit sick after.

So I have learned my lesson from this weekend definitely.  It's ok to have a drink but prepare.  Eat before you go and make sure that you alternate alcoholic drinks with soft drinks.  It's a lesson that I will take with me.
